FAR EASTSIDE

Lead Organization: Mt. Carmel Baptist Church

Boundaries: The boundaries for the geographic area for the food access and equity community action plan include:46th Street to the North, 21st Street to the South, German Church Road to the East, and Franklin Road to the West

Neighborhoods: The Far Eastside is the neighborhood that encompasses a large majority of this geographic area with the Lawrence and East Warren neighborhoods on the peripheral of the boundaries to the North and South respectively

Eastside Economic Recovery & Mobility District
East Economic District

Lead Organization: Edna Martin Christian Center

Boundaries: The food access and equity community action plan will serve a geographic area roughly equivalent tothe Eastside Economic Recovery and Mobility District (EERMD or District). The EERMD hasgeneralized boundaries of 30th Street, Emerson Ave, Prospect Street, and the Monon Trail. The Districtincludes catchment areas for the Edna Martin Christian Center (EMCC), Martindale-BrightwoodCommunity Development Corp (MBCDC), John Boner Neighborhood Center (JBNC), SoutheastNeighborhood Development (SEND), Southeast Community Services (SECS), WestminsterNeighborhood Services (Westminster), Shepherd Community Center (Shepherd) and EnglewoodCommunity Development Corporation (ECDC

Neighborhoods: There are three neighborhoods included in the District’s geographic area, these are: Martindale-Brightwood, the Near Eastside, and the Southeast side.

Near North

Lead Organization: Indiana University Health Foundation

Boundaries: The geographic area to be served is the near northwest side of downtown Indianapolis, extending outward from the IU Health medical campus into the planned Health District, bounded by 34th Street, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street, Pennsylvania Avenue, and West Michigan Street

Neighborhoods: The neighborhoods included are Near North, IUPUI, Ransom Place, Upper Canal, Meridian Highland and Crown Hill, as well as adjacent neighborhoods including Riverside, 16 Tech, Watson-McCord, Mapleton Fall Creek, Haughville and others

NEAR NORTHWEST
Near Northwest

Lead Organization: Flanner House

Boundaries: The region is bounded by 38th street to the north and 10th street to the south.The boundary on the westside is Lafayette Road and on the Eastside is I-65.

Neighborhoods: Northwest PLANNERS, Riverside, Golden Hill, Neighbors Helping Neighbors, Northwest Landings,KW30, Rivers Edge, and Ransom Place

Demographics: geography includes a population of 47,601, of which 37.5% are living in a food desert. Thepoverty rate is 27% and the median household income is $35,819.

NORTHEAST CORRIDOR
Northeast Corridor

Lead Organization: United Northeast Community Development Corporation

Boundaries: The primary focus area boundaries within UNEC’s catchment include: Fall Creek Parkway (West), Shadeland Avenue (East), East 46thStreet (North), East 30th Street /Massachusetts / Sherman Drive (South)

Neighborhoods: Avondale Meadows, Keystone-Millersville, Millersville-FallCreek, Devington, Oxford, Crosstown, Drexel, Audubon Garden, Sheridan Heights, Forest Manor, Arlington Woods, Brightwood, Martindale

Mid-North
MID-NORTH

Lead Organization: Midtown Indianapolis, Inc

Boundaries: The focus area comprises neighborhoods within the Midtown community which experience significant barriers to food access and food security. This area includes Census Tracts: 3219, 3220, 3221, 3222,3224, 3225,3503, 3504, 3509, 3510,3515, and 65556. The focus area is part of a larger Midtown community that is inclusive of both a “Food Oasis” and a “Food Desert”.

Neighborhoods: Crown Hill, Highland Vicinity, Meridian Highland, Mapleton Fall Creek, Meridian Park, Watson Park, Keystone Monon, Rocky Ripple, Butler Tarkington, and Meridian Kessler. Secondary engagement areas include Broad Ripple, Warflieigh, Canterbury, Forest Hills, Golden Hill, Clifton On The River.

SOUTHEAST
Southeast

Lead Organization: Southeast Neighborhood Development, Inc.

Boundaries: Washington Street is the northern boundary, Emerson Avenue to the East, Troy Avenue tothe South, and White River to the West.

Neighborhoods: Bates Hendricks, Bean Creek, Christian Park, Fletcher Place, Fountain Square, Fountain Square Alliance,Garfield Park, Holy Rosary, Irish Hill, Meridian Raymond, North Square, Norwood, Old Southside,Prospect Falls, South Village, Southeast Community Organization (SECO) and Twin Aire.

WEST INDIANAPOLIS
Near West

Lead Organization: West Indianapolis Development Corporation

Boundaries: The Westside Indianapolis Collective Impact (“WICI”) focus area boundaries are 16th St (north), White River (east), Raymond/Kentucky (south), and Holt Rd (west). In total, the area is 8,000 acres, or 12.5 sq. miles.

Neighborhoods: West Indianapolis, Maywood, Near West Collaborative which includes Stringtown, Haughville Strong, Hawthrowne and We Care, The Valley
