Indy's new Food Policy & Program Coordinator

ICFAC would like to announce a new addition to the food team! Katherine Boyles is the new Food Policy & Program Coordinator for the City of Indianapolis, Community Nutrition & Food Policy Division. She has been working to strengthen Indianapolis’ local food system for over a decade, beginning when she joined the founding board of Indy Food Co-op/Pogue’s Run Grocer. She was an originator of the Indy Local Food Guide, which she helped produce for 7 years. She worked with Purdue Extension-Marion County’s Urban Agriculture Educator to design and launch the Urban Agriculture Certificate Program.


While pursuing her Master of Public Affairs in Urban Sustainability at IUPUI SPEA, she assisted with research on food policy councils and collective impact initiatives. Katherine will work closely with ICFAC to identify food policies and programs that will build a system that provides equitable and dignified access to healthy food for all Indy residents.
